I've been writing on and off for many years with the hope of being able to publish something some day. Sadly though, it's always been a struggle for me to stay motivated, especially once I began to work for a living. It wasn't until recently I really started to understand ADHD and how it effected my passions and hobbies - and my motivation. During 2020 I was furloughed by my job and for the first time in years had the opportunity to do nothing but focus on the things I wanted to do for six months. I still haven't finished a complete novel, but I did complete a rough draft start to finish. And realized I had a long way to go before I was going to be able to publish anything. Not only was ADHD making it hard to stay focused (or focused on the right thing), my writing skills had suffered from the lack of use. That's why I started this blog. To have a place express ideas and work through writing (both in general and with ADHD), and maybe help a few others struggling by sharing my journey.
